Based on your description:

"published around 2009–2014). It was set in modern day/high school. The main character was a teenage girl living with an abusive human father/stepfather (who was not her biological father). She later discovers she’s half-fae. Her mother was the queen of the Light/Day court, and her biological father was from the Dark/Night court. The king of the Light court wanted to kill her because she was proof that the queen had an affair with someone from the enemy court. There was a romance with a cold/distant dark fae prince (or prince-like love interest). Their relationship was extremely forbidden and they were constantly being told to stay apart, especially by her biological father. They traveled to the fae world through a portal under a willow tree. I remember in book 2 the girl is captured/imprisoned and believes the love interest betrayed her, but he actually hadn’t. There’s a scene where he’s carrying her and she punches him repeatedly in the chest because she thinks he betrayed her. At the end of the trilogy (epilogue or final chapter), they finally get married and are allowed to be together. Other details: some romance/spice but definitely YA likely a trilogy probably early 2010s “Light/Day” and “Dark/Night” courts were important modern high school setting, not medieval fantasy love interest may have had dark hair"
