"I'm looking for a historical Middle Eastern/Arabian romance, possibly a Mills & Boon or Harlequin title, published before 2017. The heroine may have been named Layla/Leila and had long dark hair. She had several sisters, and she was chosen for an arranged marriage to a neighboring ruler. The hero may have been named Tariq (or a similar name). He was a scarred warrior king rather than a playboy prince. I remember the heroine watching him practice with a sword in a palace training courtyard, and that changed her opinion of him. She traveled to his kingdom after the marriage. In the palace there was an important golden female statue, possibly representing fertility, queenship, prosperity, or a goddess. I think the statue may have been stolen or missing at some point. The statue was brought from the heroine's homeland and was placed in her chamber. On her wedding night, she spent time staring at the statue. I vaguely remember the title containing words such as Gold, Golden, Goddess, Queen, Idol, Statue, or something similar."
