They live in the cabin during winter, it is very cold and live is challenging. They eat pancakes and the kids wanted more syrup on it than grandma uses. They take baths only rarely in an old fashion tub. At some point grandma needs to snowmobile back into town, or perhaps she hikes or takes dog sled. She is injured by the journey but survives.
