" read this book a couple s of years ago but I dont remember the name of it. The female character (she’s American) goes to Ireland or Scotland to try to figure out who killed her mother, it’s mafia/mob related. Her father or stepfather is a cop and I think she also was one. She gets a job at a bar as a waitress and tries to infiltrate the mob, she mets the mob boss and they end up falling in love. She ends up going on the run when he finds out and in book to he stalks her and finds her in America. The mob boss also has a amputated leg because he got shot. It’s a two part series and the third book is about the female characters sisters."
