"Okay so I don't remember that many details, I probably read this when I was like 10- 11 so probs early 2010s (I live in the UK btw don't know if that helps). Also I think it was a child- like chapter book with pictures and sci- fi/ dystopian genre. So basically there's a world and everyone is superrrr tall. One day man walks into the girls class because she's been picked for smth. It may have been someone like to visit the Queen or smth but idk. So she's goes with this guy and she stays with this family for a while and the people she's visiting (and the man that came) can read minds. When she gets to the family's house, there's a device that can read your mind and produce anything you want to eat. I remember they family had a daughter and she video called her parents."
