"A young adult book I read in middle school that has a setting in a spooky but open place where there are graves marked by letters and numbers. I believe there’s ghosts involved but they’re never in direct contact with the young protagonist and never really answer questions. By the end of the book, the main character discovers a journal that corresponds the marks on the graves to a dead child’s name. The building might have been an orphanage but I can’t remember. I could’ve sworn the title was something like “The Ghost Children”"
